Dr. Laurence Lyons worked for forty years on defense and intelligence projects while associated with the US Government, General Electric and British Aerospace (BAE). He retired from a subsidiary of BAE as Vice President and Chief Engineer in 2006. He holds an A.B. from Harvard University and an M.S and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University. His avocation is Military History, with a particular interest in how technology influenced the conduct of World Wars I and II. He is an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Universities of West Florida and South Alabama and a consultant with BAE. He is president of the Harvard Club of the Mid-Gulf Coast. He is a radio amateur (KI4UUG).
On September 13th, 2015, Dr. Laurence A. Lyons, author of George Owen Squier, traveled to General Squier's home town to present his, and Paul W.
